Strike A Pose!

Strike A Pose returns to Quarry for a summertime soirée featuring outsider art, friendly faces and solidarity with workers engaged in industrial action.  The foundation of the party was an attempt to get all of our friends to the same night out together, and it's grown into something much bigger.   

At each event, we fundraise for a group or union taking strike action in their workplace. In December 2022 we raised £525 for the local CWU branch to support postal workers on strike, and in April 2023 we raised £888 for NHS Workers Say NO.   We'll come together and choose another group for us fundraise for in July, with a decision made on the specific organisation made closer to the time given the unpredictability of the strike wave sweeiping across the UK.  

The format remains the same: half live performance, half disco.  

Until 11pm: live music / performance art / movement / drag acts / poetry  After 11pm: house / (italo-)disco / garage / techno / queer anthems / ecstatic classics.

This event is NOT TICKETED. Please instead donate what you can on the door. All money raised will go to local organisers.
