About the event

LANGKAMER is a ‘West Country rock band’ joining us from Bristol! Listen: langkamer.bandcamp.com/

J. MADDEN is the project of songwriter James Madden (of Hooton Tennis Club & Seatbelts). Under this new moniker emerges the debut album 'Same Day As Yesterday'. Singles “Two Birds” and “The Pool of Emotion the Size of an Ocean” from the record showcase Madden’s ability to write an unconventional melodic pop gem. The album unravels its dainty and unexpected arrangements around Madden's nylon string guitar, piano and relaxed baritone vocal - unhurriedly revealing the detailed world wrapped up in each song.

J.Madden's approach to the recording process is a relaxed yet consistent meditative practice that helps shape and mould ideas. Amidst the collective chaos and confusion that comes with being alive in the 21st Century, J. Madden continues to search for some kind of clarity.

HANK BEE is the brainchild of Hannah Brown, a singer-songwriter hailing from the northeast borders, before swapping the Tyne for the Mersey. Penning songs steeped in the folk she was raised on, and dipped in the later influences of her formative years; Brown straddles the genre divides that have inspired her so much, culminating in focused melodies twisted around intricate rhythms and tragically ironic lyrics.

Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken on the day of the event required for entry.
